Hi there!

My name is Tuba. I’m a NY based career transition coach with 5 years of experience at technology start-ups, 7 years of experience in architecture, and over 10 years of experience in mentoring.

I have an MFA in Design & Technology, an MS in Architectural Design, and an BA in Architecture.

I'm driven by helping others to chase their dreams and grow in their career.

Why coaching?

In the last four years, I found purpose in guiding others in transitioning careers by sharing my practical knowledge. I helped people to build their resumes and portfolios to land their first job at tech companies as product designers, product managers, and software developers.

I helped them to overcome their self-doubt, motivated them when they lacked motivation, showed them the shortcuts, supported them in learning new skills, and guided them to set achievable goals and a plan to reach them.

If you're considering transitioning your career or have already started the process — but struggling, I'm here to support you!

My journey

When I was working as an architect, nothing made me feel more fulfilled than mentoring young designers to set and achieve their career goals.

After I moved to the US to chase my own dreams and transition my career, I experienced the struggles of career transition firsthand.

Struggle is real.

After finishing my master studies in the US, I thought opportunities would be waiting for me. I would land my first job quickly and easily. YES, the opportunities were there. But I was wrong about the "easy and quick" part.

The application and interview processes were a different game. A game that no one teaches you to play at school. As a career changer, I should have also needed to unlearn what I knew and adapt to different processes of the tech industry. Deep down, I knew I had the skills to do the jobs I was applying for; I was even overqualified for some of them. But I wasn't displaying enough confidence in myself.

After struggling quite a bit, I landed in an excellent position to kickstart my career in the tech industry. Finding opportunities got easier over time.

Looking back now, I wish I had someone coaching me along the way. I could have defined my career goals and achieved them much earlier.
